The works in this exhibition move between two central motifs—confections and femininity. Glossy pink donuts evoke indulgence, desire, and delight, while the portraits of women offer a more intimate counterpoint. Their expressions, gestures, and environments suggest stories that linger just beneath the surface—stories about beauty, expectation, and the roles women inhabit or resist. Hutchinson's visual language draws from mid-century Americana, retro diner aesthetics, and pop-inflected color palettes, creating a world that feels both familiar and slightly surreal. The persistent use of pink ties the works together, transforming the exhibit into an immersive environment that invites viewers to reconsider their assumptions about the color and what it represents. Students learn the specifics of studio art mediums in a hands-on program designed to develop creative skills while fostering a theoretical and historical understanding of the arts. The fundamental building blocks of all studio art courses are to instill skills in divergent thinking, creative problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity. Students learn divergent thinking through self-exploration and personal experimentation. Discovering innovative solutions through examination, education, and perseverance develops creative problem-solving skills. Critical thinking skills are honed when students are asked to respond conceptually and formally to challenges with consideration of their own personal experiences and observations. Creativity is fostered through challenging and goal driven projects that are open to individual interpretation and self-exploration. These qualities learned in our studio art classes are also skills that are utilized in nearly every aspect of a person's education, career, and journey through life.

Bill Gallagher is a New Smyrna Beach, Florida artist and acclaimed oil painter known for vivid, narrative-driven scenes that blend contemporary life with the classic beauty of Florida's landscapes. She began as a high school art teacher and went on to earn five teaching degrees, including a master's degree and certification as areading specialist. In retirement, she remains active in the arts community, volunteering with the Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA) and creating distinctive paper collages that reflect her lifelong passion for education and the arts.   Sue Flynn became a Personal Chef in 2002 after a 30-year career in retail. A member of the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA), she earned her certification in 2005. Her lifelong interest in teaching found expression at Atlantic Center for the Arts, where she has led culinary programs including "Food as Art" for middle school students, ACA's summer art camp, and most recently The Healing Arts for Homeschool Students program (2022–2025). Nadine Soldivieri is an accomplished performer and teacher with an extensive background in the performing arts. She earned her Associate of Arts degree in Theatre Arts and has dedicated her career to both performance and education, sharing her passion with students of all ages. Her training spans a wide range of disciplines, including tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, gymnastics, acrobatics, voice, and theatre. Nadine has had the privilege of studying under many distinguished artists, among them George Tomal (ABT Co.), Carolyn Clark (ABT Co.), Joseph Carow (ABT Co.), Edward Villella (NYC Ballet Co.), Mia Michaels (So You Think You Can Dance), Savion Glover, Omar Edwards (Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk), Robert Fitch (Annie), Frank Hatchett, Germaine Salsburg, Phil Black, and Charles (Chuck) Kelley.
